Our goal is to address the needs of an increasing segment of our society that suffers from physical disability, mental illness, alcohol/drug addiction, and developmental disabilities in a manner that respects their dignity, maintains their safety and promotes their independence to the greatest degree possible. Our commitment is to continuously encourage the involvement of family and friends as we cultivate the enrichment of our Residents through love, warmth and appropriate activities.  We believe in embracing the natural progression of life, as well as life’s challenges; and that a continuum of care is the primary contributor to a rich, dignified, and independent life.

We provide services for individuals with one or more of the following needs:

• Physically Disabled

• Advanced Age

• Developmentally Disabled (DD)

• Mental Illness/Emotional Disturbance (MH)

• Alcohol/Drug Addiction (AODA)

• Terminally Ill

• Traumatic Brain Injury

 

We also provide support to adults with special needs such as asthma, COPD and other respiratory needs.

Our training programs cover a wide range of essential topics, from elderly care to specialized medical procedures, providing caregivers with the knowledge and practical skills they need to excel in their roles.

Our Courses

DHS 83 CBRF Requirements for Caregivers are:

General CBRF Certification for Caregivers

Standard Precautions (Prior to being exposed to blood, body fluids etc. )(2 hours)

Fire Safety (Within 90 days of employment)(3 hours)

First Aid and Choking (Within 90 days of employment)(4 hours)

Medication Administration (Prior to managing, administering Medications etc.)(14-16 hours)

 

Training for all CBRF Employees

Resident Rights (Within 90 days of employment)

Client Group (Within 90 days of employment)

Recognizing and Managing Challenging Behaviors (Within 90 days of employment)

 

Task Specific Training for Individuals that Perform Particular  Duties   

Assessments of Residents.

Individual Service Plan Development.

Provision of Personal Care (Any staff member performing ADLs.

Dietary Training (If preparing food, menus, storing food etc.) (Within 90 days of assuming duties).
